Based on the paradox that a women’s luxury shoe brand can be named after a male character, Daryn Moore was launched by its creative director Chloé Serfaty with an Autumn/Winter 2015 collection. Developped between Paris and the Italian ateliers in Florence, each collection is thought and made with hand-crafted precision and a demanding attention to detail. The brand’s couture and lingerie inspirations can be found in the styles’ elaborate curves and intertwined volumes, which called to be touched like any luxury piece of clothing. The textural work on delicate fabrics such as refined suede, soft shearling and mat-finished exotic skins brings a gentle and intimate touch to each design, signed like seamed stockings with a sharp black line on a tender pink-powdered sole.
Season after season, Daryn Moore’s collections aim at reaching an elaborate sobriety, by bringing together women’s inner contradictions, which, like their shoes, are meant to be shown all day long: self-confidence and fragility, comfort and sophistication, luxuriance and intimacy.
